For literacy we are writing a poem about our new school. We are writing about our feelings for Te Manu Tukutuku what is our new school. We have to write about what we could see, feel, smell, touch and hear.

  Te Manu Tukutuku

It feels like a puzzle because I find myself going in circles.

The children are cheering, chanting and chatting about the new school.

I can see the bright new furniture.

I can smell the unused room.

I can touch the bouncy couches.

I feel stunned because it is as enormous as an island.
